I participated in a talk, workshop and exhibit at the f295 Symposium in Pittsburgh, May 28-June 1. There were great artists, some also teachers, in a wonderfully supportive environment. It was unimaginably hectic, but also exciting and, for me, a luxury to have some time with friends; old and new (memories which I will always cherish). Loved seeing their work, hearing their stories. (So glad I didn't have to follow their talks!) Kudos to Tom Persinger for putting together a complex, successful program, with eight speakers, three exhibits, twelve workshops -- and yet he still managed to make each of us feel like a rock star. ..... Thank you! - France

Thanks to Leo and Art*

[*Ok, maybe I need to clarify some of Art's comments:
- Hyper? Me? Yes, of course. ...perhaps more than usual? //but nothing to do with the following... - The crack pipe comment refers to the pipette I used to transfer collodion from the stock bottle to the pour bottle. Someone in the class (who shall remain nameless) said it "looked like a crack pipe." - When I was cleaning glass, I suggested that some people have told me that diapers make good glass cleaning cloths. (I wouldn't know about either of those!)
Please note that we used an alcohol lamp, not a kerosene lamp. Please don't confuse the two! Alcohol lamps have a tight-fitting wick which is NOT adjustable. ....If you're not sure, ask! ....Ok, I know, "What me worry?" ....I just don't want anyone getting hurt. ]
