Saturday, October 11:

One day workshop: Mark & France will demonstrate making an ambrotype and a tintype. Attendees will be guided through the process step-by-step and have the option of making an ambrotype or tintype self-portrait. The newest edition of the manual, "The Wet-Plate Process, A Working Guide" is included!

Sat & Sun, October 11 & 12:

Two day workshop: Attendees of the first day can add on a second day (They must have attended day one or a previous workshop in collodion). Instructors will start with a negative-making demonstration. (Negatives will be made outdoors, weather permitting, or in the studio.) Participants will then make their choice of positives and negatives. SOLD OUT!!

No equipment needed -- just bring yourself!
Wear old and dark colored clothes for the workshop. Silver nitrate can stain clothing permanently, and dark colors are better for portraiture.

- SPECIAL ARCHIVES TOUR! -

Attendees arriving Friday October 10, will have the opportunity to visit the archives of the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film:

-- 2 pm -- Todd Gustavson, Curator of Technology will show cameras and equipment used during the 19th c. wet-plate collodion era.

-- 3 pm -- Print Archivist Joseph Struble will present 19th century collodion positives and prints from collodion negatives, selected from the museum's collection of 400,000 images.
